Irrigator Unit
Objective:
Review and evaluate customer’s current package for better efficiencies. The customer was using a standard carton with folded corrugated inner pack. The inner packaging posed several problems; it was difficult and time consuming to fold up and was collapsing during shipping due to the weight of the product. The company’s reputation for quality was in question when units were not being contained appropriately when arriving to end users.
Solution:
The Fibreform design team was able to create one molded fiber pulp piece that is used for both the top and bottom pad. The pads held the unit much more stable, along with providing spaces for additional parts. Fibreform was able to decrease the overall carton size and offer improved performance. The package presented a better image while saving in overall packaging costs to the customer.
